I had kept in touch with La since I last saw her in Vientiane and she had told me about her brother’s wedding that was taking place in Luang Namtha in February. Since I was across the border in Yunnan just before I was able to come to Laos to visit her and attend the wedding. Afterwards I headed back to Chiang Mai where I met with Joey who had come on a holiday from Singapore. We spent five wonderful days together before getting the night train to Bangkok where we met JK, LL and Lin and I later caught a flight to Hanoi.
