I took a two week trip to Norway in June 2012 and travelled through the western fjordland before heading north to visit the Lofoten Islands. The area around Reine and Hamnøy was one of the most spectacular places I had ever visited. In June when I was north of the arctic circle the sun never set, which was a surreal experience and I often ended up wandering around until much later than I thought.
Looking out over the water and mountains of Reine Bay.
A rainbow over the bay overlooking the fishing huts of Hamnøy.
